UH Cullen College Gala 2024
Background
The University of Houston holds an annual gala event for its alumni. It highlights the greatest achievements that the university recognizes from the select alumni who have received awards from the institution. This event is planned multiple months in advance to ensure everything goes right for the various important sponsors and alumni who attend the gala.
Process
Being tasked to create individual interview videos for each awardee that is highlighted for the gala and editing the 80th year anniversary video, I had the opportunity to work with my team and very important people to make the media for the event. I also designed the banner for the event and my design was incorporated into the pamphlets that were given out at the gala. With a tight schedule and the expectations of very important people including the mayor's assistant attending, I had to ensure everything looked professional.
Final Thoughts
This project made me work at my utmost best in providing professional media to uphold the professionalism of the university. I had lots of pressure from each step of the process but I made sure the outcomes were what everyone liked, including me. I enjoyed working with the various people I had to record during our interviews and had a great time making sure everything was how it should be with my coworkers who managed other parts of the event. This gave me one of my best experiences with creating media for a huge and important event and it was so satisfying seeing my work on the big screen for hundreds of important figures to see.
